Being a marketer, the most challenging task is to analyse the behaviour of the people. The successful marketer can read out the minds of consumers and acknowledge their preferences and temptations.

This might be a challenging task to accomplish, but if you keep a hold on these seven psychological marketing tricks, you can be one of the leading marketers. Some of them are pretty unexpected.

What is Marketing Psychology?

We made our buying decisions based on our wants and preferences. Now, the question is, how will the marketer assess what do we want? Here comes marketing psychology.

It understands buyers’ behavior and tries to touch the mind of customers with ads and campaigns to reach what customers are thinking.

For instance, have you ever noticed many shampoo ads are continuously highlighting hair fall? Because it is one of the problems facing by many. So, market psychology helps markets to understand what a buyer needs and offers accordingly. And also, manipulate them by pushing to buy whatever they need to sell.

The Decoy Effect

Have you ever noticed “Deals” in restaurants” or “Buy One Get One” in supermarkets. These are strategies to let customers focus on less desirable products – a decoy.

Marketers are convincing a customer that the product is worth buying within a minimal amount. This Decoy effect enables the sales to get pumped while taking the most out of the consumer’s pocket.

Time isn’t really running out.

This relates to the urgency of the product to be sold, creating an environment that there is a sale on a particular item and that item is nearly out of stock.

This is used to get the customers’ attention by creating a sense of hurry in their minds. When they see that the desired item is on sale and running like a hot cake, the customers will rush towards their franchise, keeping in mind that the stock will be over quickly. This is a marketing technique used for selling dead or slow items.

The Framing effect

The representative of the brand presents the product in the most ideal way to increase or create a sense of desire, for the product whether the customer wants it or not.

Brands also create groups of people reviewing the product reasonably to draw buyer’s attention to the product. By doing this, the customers will get attracted to the pros of the represented good or the service, no matter what they are looking for. It’s a very common effect, maybe even overused, but it’s still an effective one.

The Jingle Jam

Do you remember the jingle of Macdonalds? “I am in love with it” or KFC “ Its finger-licking” or any other song which you have heard in an advertisement.

You can deduce this method from Pavlov’s dogs in which a pet was trained in a way that it came seeking food whenever a bell had rung.

The same is the case with the customers. The marketer can create a bell in the minds of the customers through exciting songs. As a result, products retain customers’ long-term memory.  This is yet another trick to augments sales.

The odd-even pricing

The concept of odd-even pricing is all about providing confidence to the customer that the price company has introduced for the product is valued for their money.

This is all the game of numbers. For example, the cost of an item is $2, but brands price it for $1.99. This trick is very effective as many customers buy products that seem cheap even if they do not need them.

Loss Aversion

You must have seen loss aversion everywhere without realizing it. “Flash Sale!”,  “15% Discount for the first 20 buyers.” What are these? These all are loss aversion.

Loss aversion is a tendency to avoid loss than acquiring gains. Numerous brands are using this psychological tip in their business. The trick helps marketers to enhance a sense of urgency in customers’ respective of their potential products.

All tricks are suggested and design to augment the rate over a return, somewhat deceiving any of the customers. These marketing psychology skills will augments growth and increase sales of products or services of the company.

A movie review entails analyzing a film created by a person or a group of people and expressing your views and opinions about it. The main objective of movie review is to pass the information to the reader about the film created and its thoughts and give a glimpse about it.

Additionally, watching movie review gives the viewers a choice to make decision on watching the movie. This will be based if the viewer has suit the liking or not.

Elements of a Movie Review

It would be very important to organize all the items and information required before you start writing a movie review since it saves time. The following are steps you could use to organize your film review:

  • Introduction- It should at least include the name of the movie, release date and background information such as its genre.
  • Give an overview of the movie
  • Analyze the movie’s plot and major events such as drama and action
  • Give a brief description of the characters, costumes, symbols or anything that is unique in the movie
  • Support your view or your take after watching the film
  • Provide a conclusion and give a reason and explain the film’s impacts and how it has aided in creating a better understanding of the genre.

The following are the basic elements of a Movie review

  1. Summary which entails the overall aim of the review and opinions about liking and supporting it.
  2. Film director. Get to know if the film has a director and give a little description about him/her
  3. Creative aspects. The creative elements incorporated are important in making a plot line.
  4. Actors. The casting of the film they have to be realistic.

In this article, we will look at Midhunter TV Series which has become a crime thriller film, as an example of a movie review. Additionally, still we get the latest update about how it is proceeding.

Mindhunter Season 3

Mindhunter is a crime thriller TV series which is based on a true crime book Mindhunter written by John D. and Mark O. Netflix aired its first premiere on 13th October 2017, led by creator and executive producer Joe Penhall, David Fincher, and Charlie Theron.

Holden Ford and Bill Tench who are FBI agents, all attempt and get serial killers by only studying their damaged identities. David Fincher an Oscar nominated director and Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron, they have made the crime thriller to have a strong pedigree behind the cameras. This series spotlights the success by two men who are FBI agents, of a new criminal field.

Is the season renewed or canceled?

There can be a renewal of the season if Fincher revisits it, which will make it not to. Season one was debuted worldwide on Netflix on 13th October 2017, and season two on 16th August 2019. Season two consisted of 9 episodes having an average runtime of 46-73 minutes. The period between the two seasons was long. 2 years, the audience had to wait for the second season. Nevertheless, the audience will have to wait a little longer. As Netflix reported, the series is on hold.

During an Interview on Variety in November 2020, Fincher said that even though it was an expensive show, at some point, he would love to revisit the series. His statement at least gives hope to the audience that the series is still ongoing.

Release date of the season

Since the next season is on hold, Fincher gave some hope that he would revisit it. He also said that maybe the next season might be in 5 years. Hence, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. In conclusion, the release date of the next season remains unknown.

The Cast of the Season

Holt McCallany, who played Bill Tench, Jonathan Groff as Holden Ford, and Ana Trov as Wendy Carr, led the first two seasons’ main cast. Other cast members who were very supportive in their roles include Hannah Gross’s likes as Ford’s girlfriend Debbie Mitford, Cotter Smith as Robert Shepard, and Cameron Britton as Edmund Kemper, the serial killer.

Season 2 adds three characters that play a made-up version of real serial killers. They include Christopher Livingstone, Oliver Cooper, and Damon Herriman, who play Wayne Williams, David Berkowitz and Charles Manson.

The Plot of the Season

Season one takes place from 1977 to 1980, whereas season two took place between 1980(where the previous season came to completion) and 1981, and this time around, it focuses on the real-life of Atlanta murders. A possibility of the third season could pick up from 1981 to mid-80s. It could happen if the season followed the same trend of release and plotting. The season could feature Tench and Ford traveling to local police departments worldwide, teaching them FBI techniques and catching criminals. It could also introduce us to more serial killers from that time. The Season will additionally provide answers to some of the questions raised after the season 2 finale. Are they going to let agent Barney join their team? Where did Holden’s Ex-girlfriend go? Where did Nancy and Brian go?

What should we expect?

The question striking the audience that watched Season 2 is, when should we expect the next Season? Since Fincher gave all of us hope for the new coming season, although it will be long before it will be back on screen, the audience should not lose hope in waiting for the new season. The thrilling and captivating storyline and intelligent characters are the main things that have kept its audience hooked. However, once we get any information regarding the following season, we will inform you immediately.

The main cast of MindHunter each has some issues of their own, and of which they will explore in future episodes.

One fiction that holds particularly strong outcome for season three revolves around Bill Tench’s son Brian not forgetting the child murder he witnessed midway through season two.

Update

Making of renewal, the expectation is to see FBI agents Jonathan Groff Holden Ford and Holt McCallany who plays as Bill Tench back on our screens. A psychology professor and an FBI consultant Wendy Carr who plays as Anna Torv, Agent Gregg Smith plays as Joe Tuttle, Bill’s wife Nancy plays as Stacey Roca among others.

There’s a possibility of Ed Kemper who portrays as Cameron Britton, once again on the screens, and as well as a whole group of other serial killers that have not yet been interviewed.

Conclusion

Since it is a crime thriller-based genre, it had many mixed reactions, especially on the season two finale. In IMDB, it had a rating of 8.6 out of ten. It means it was a fantastic show. The audience is eagerly waiting for the next season, since it left a lot of suspense during the previous season.

John Cena makes his Fast & Furious debut in Fast 9 as Jakob Torretto, brother of Vin Diesel’s Dom. The wrestler turned actor gets to face off against the entire Fast family but there is one person that Cena wants to face again and it’s another fellow wrestler turned bonafide action star.

During a talk with “Geek Culture,” Cena said that he can’t wait to come face to face with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in a future Fast film if that possibility arises. The two have met up in the ring as wrestlers but Cena wants the opportunity to have Jakob go head-to-head with Johnson’s Luke Hobbs.

“I don’t know if that’ll happen and that’s very much up to the Fast audience to decide. As the Fast saga grows and evolves, I’m excited for a possible moment like that but there’s no guarantee. I hope it happens and if the audiences around the world hope the same thing, who knows.”

Fans would probably love to see John Cena and Dwayne Johnson duke it out in a future Fast film and marketing possibilities alone would probably make Universal Pictures very excited. Cena was asked what Jakob might say to Hobbs if they ever come across each other and Cena said with a laugh, “The low-hanging fruit answer to that is, ‘You can’t see me.'”

It hasn’t been officially announced if Dwayne Johnson is heading back to the main franchise following the 2019 spin-off Hobbs & Shaw. I imagine that he would return since the next installment is said to be the last of the main franchise and it will be split up into two films to bring the saga to a proper conclusion. I imagine they want every possible person responsible for the success of the franchise to return for the final installment and Johnson is a huge reason the films turned into true worldwide successes beginning with his first appearance in Fast Five. Johnson sat out of Fast 9 and while there was some reported tension involving Johnson, Diesel, and Tyrese Gibson, everyone has squashed the beef and they are on good terms now.

It would also be interesting to see them on screen together because Cena once made some comments about Johnson that are a tad ironic now. Cena once called him a “sell-out” for pursuing an acting career. Last year, Cena walked back on that comment by saying “I said some things there were less than nice. He said some things that were less than nice. And I can assure you, in our line of work there is a grey area where imagination becomes very real and we were right in the sweet spot of that grey area, each watching the other’s every move and not too happy with the other party. It was stupid of me. It genuinely was. That was my perspective at the time.”

PLOT: After taking a bullet for his mortal enemy, Darius Kinkaid (Samuel L. Jackson), the world’s most infamous assassin, bodyguard Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) finds himself stripped of his triple-A rating and unlicenced. On sabbatical, his vacation in Capri is interrupted by the arrival of Kinkaid’s wife, Sonia (Salma Hayek), who wants Michael’s help to rescue her husband, who’s been kidnapped.

REVIEW: First thing’s first: I wasn’t a huge fan of The Hitman’s Bodyguard but there were things about it that I liked. Mostly, I liked Ryan Reynolds, who was well-cast as the fastidious Bryce, and I enjoyed his chemistry with Samuel L Jackson’s Darius Kinkaid. The movie also had a super-evil villain, played by Gary Oldman, and some fun action scenes, which were well-directed by The Expendables 3 director Patrick Hughes.

While that movie was essentially a straightforward action flick with heavy doses of comedy, the genre’s been swapped here in almost the same way production company Lionsgate did when they made Red 2. It’s an all-out wacky comedy now, with no stakes at all, and absolutely no drama whatsoever. Everything and I mean everything is played for laughs and it doesn’t work. Reynolds works overtime to sell the new comic vibe, but the movie is a total cartoon from start to finish. For instance, there’s a running gag that Reynold keeps getting hit by cars throughout, with CGI showing him being knocked around, only for him to pick himself and brush himself off. It’s like they tried to make him Deadpool or Free Guy, but didn’t bother to throw in the conceit that makes that acceptable in those movies. Granted, a big action movie doesn’t need a ton of logic, but this pushes it.

The premise is basically that Bryce and Kinkaid are brought together by Darius’ wife Sonia, and all three are blackmailed by a CIA officer – played by a ridiculously underused Frank Grillo, to take down a Greek magnate, played by noted Greek thespian Antonio Banderas – note sarcasm- who wants to destroy Europe in a bid to rebuild Greece’s economy. It’s unbelievably stupid, but all involved try hard, with Banderas mugging with the best of them, although seeing him and Salma Hayek together makes you wish for another Desperado rather than…whatever this is.

Hayek’s got a bigger role than she did in the last movie as Kinkaid’s crazy wife, with her being the third lead. The idea is that she and Darius want to start a family but can’t conceive – the closest thing to drama the movie has. I’ll give the movie this – this idea sets up the one really solid joke in the movie, which pays off in the last scene and almost makes me want to see another “Hitman’s something or other”… But not quite.

Reynolds and Jackson still have good chemistry and Hayek is game, but the action is barely passable. Sure, there’s a lot of carnage and they milk the R-rating for gory headshots. However, twenty four hours after seeing it I was barely able to recall any cool action moments, except for a fight that’s noteworthy because it involves eighty-four-year-old Morgan Freeman being a credible badass. He has a top-secret part that’s initially quite clever but turns out to be two-dimensional, a shame as some stakes and a tiny bit of drama might have actually come out of his role.

What’s also insane is that Frank Grillo, who’s turning into a big action star, never gets in on the action at all, with him playing exposition guy. What a waste! Jackson also seems a little less prominent this time, with them relying on him saying mother fucker a lot, where in the first movie, he had an arc and a killer last scene with Oldman’s baddie, who for some reason is credited here despite only showing up in a second of stock footage from the original

Overall, The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard is a huge misfire and tanks what could have been an ok B-grade side franchise for Reynolds, Jackson and Hayek. Too bad, as the original isn’t a bad little movie and this could have been a fun action flick to kick off the sum

PLOT: Dom Toretto’s family loyalty is tested when he discovers his disgraced younger brother is working with Cipher to go after Dom and the crew.

REVIEW: Rev up the engines. Ramp up the music. Get ready to rumble because Dom Toretto and crew are back for yet another adventure. Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges are ready to roll, and even Jordana Brewster is joining the gang along with a few other notable returning fan treats, and don’t forget the cars and explosions that keep getting bigger. The 9th film in the series goes to places you’d never imagine, for better or worse. And yes, we have villains galore, old and new, trying to destroy the world or whatever. More importantly, they come between family, and you know what they say about “family” in these flicks? Either way, the gang is back so fasten your seatbelts, and strap in, let’s see if F9 is a ride worth taking.

Dom (Diesel) and Letty (Rodriguez) have finally settled into family life. Of course, since this is a Fast and the Furious movie, something is bound to pull them back in. And that someone is Jakob (John Cena), the long-lost, younger brother of Dom and Mia (Brewster). Things get far more complicated for the crew when they realize that their sibling is working with the dangerously wicked Cipher (Charlize Theron). Now we aren’t talking about a simple family squabble. We’re talking power beyond the likes anybody has seen before… well at least since the last F & F flick. This all leads to exactly what you’d expect, and perhaps a few things you won’t. If you are looking for a more spoilerific plot description, I’m certain you can find that and more if you do a simple Google search, but I’ll keep this spoiler-free.

fast 9 review, fast 9 movie reviewF9 is Justin Lin’s return to the franchise after James Wan gave us Furious 7, and F. Gary Gray carried on with The Fate of the Furious. And there are moments here that harken back to Lin’s earlier work in Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6. However, as insane as it was to see a massive safe dragged down a busy street, the new film takes you to some truly outlandish heights. Get ready for Roman (Gibson) and Tej (Bridges) to take you on one of the silliest escapades ever belonging to an already silly franchise, and that’s truly saying something. Even with that, there are certainly a handful of impressive sequences that attempt to raise the already high bar of wild car imagery that is beyond impossible. In the latest, aside from the cast, the cars are the highlight. Especially when they’re a bit more grounded than they have been as of late.

Sometimes Lin’s imaginative ideas worked, but oftentimes they didn’t. If you’ve ever taken the Universal Studio Tour, you might get the feeling you’re seeing some of that popular attraction right here in Dom’s world. Perhaps I’m wrong, but the plane crash from War of the Worlds, as well as a location that looked eerily like Isla Nublar, appeared to make a cameo here. Even though there are a few thrilling moments spread throughout – one involving a much-needed bit of comic relief in London for a chase with one of my favorite characters in the series – a few of these fast and furious moments felt a bit been there, done that. Needless to say, this massive blockbuster occasionally looked as though less of the budget was actually put on-screen.

In addition to taking a stop on the studio tour, there are a few flashback sequences designed to give you an idea of what happened to Jakob’s character. The look of it didn’t quite work. It’d be a safe bet that they were attempting to match the tone of the original film. Instead, these moments felt off and didn’t quite look like they belonged in the same movie. In addition, the extended sequences only added a superficial character arc for Jakob. And remember all the cool locations in the previous installments? Well, here they sometimes appear to be shot on the lot with a handful of impressive establishing shot for whatever part of the world we are about to see. Maybe with all the talent involved, they had to cut the travel expenses, especially because this was in front of cameras pre-pandemic when they ideally could’ve gone anywhere.

fast 9 movie reviewThat’s not to say this is all bad. It was terrific to see Jordana Brewster and Sung Kang back – although I’m not quite sure about the direction they went with Paul Walker’s character. As well, the many other returning actors were a treat, and it’s always fun to see the regulars work together and tear up the asphalt in mayhem-fueled ways. And while this won’t please everyone, it’s likely that if you are already invested thus far, you won’t mind the ridiculously insane script by Daniel Casey and Justin Lin. Since this might be the first movie many of you see on a big screen, the loud booms and the nutso action with a bag of popcorn may be all that you desire. And frankly, there’s not a damn thing wrong with that.

F9 will please fans expecting vehicular lunacy but may simply tire others hoping for something slightly less dopey. Throughout the film, I found moments that started to make the pulse pound, yet on a whole, it just gave out right before the finish line. Still, it’s entertaining to see a few familiar faces return, John Cena broods a bunch, and perhaps a couple of surprises will put a smile on your face. Yet as a whole, this just feels like an in-between rehash saving the best for last – we can hope. right? Considering that the 10th and 11th films appear to be a two-part final chapter, maybe that’s all this needs to be. Well, until they reboot it with a brand new cast of course. If you’re already invested, you’ll probably watch this and maybe even like it a little more. However, if you’ve already started looking for the exit, F9 will hardly keep the wheels in motion.
